The Washout Skate Park, in the United Brethren Church parking lot, Fowlerville. Skate Park Project

June 19--Aug. 16, 2003

In 27 skate park days, 632 visitors discovered The Washout Skate Park at UBC. A hundred and twenty-eight riders, inliners, scooter riders and skateboarders signed a waiver and put on a helmet and got down to business (and fun) at this portable, free skate park.

Where kids could skate, bike, skateboard or scooter on 13 pieces of skate park equipment and find family support, music, ice water, pop, food and shade—wow!

Where kids could enjoy challenging fun and camaraderie.

Where there was something new every day—like building projects, graffiti, lessons and impromptu activities.

Here are links to photo galleries filled with pictures we took during the summer at "The Washout." Hope you enjoy them.
